Coventry has a large stock of post-war and 1930s housing — much of it with cavity walls and lofts that were never brought up to modern insulation standards. Whatever the age of your home, solar panels generate electricity from daylight — not just direct sun — so they work well across Coventry and West Midlands. The more of your own power you use, the less you draw from the grid, and the more you save.

Pair solar with a home battery and you can store the electricity you generate by day to use in the evening, when grid power costs most. Any surplus you don't use can be exported back to the grid — and with the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), your supplier pays you for it. Export rates vary widely by supplier (typically somewhere between a few pence and the low-20s pence per kWh as of 2026), so the right tariff matters.
An MCS certified installation is required to access the Smart Export Guarantee and supports your manufacturer warranties. We're certifying so your Coventry installation qualifies for everything it should — rather than cutting corners.
