We're launching solar shortly

To install solar panels and unlock incentives like the Smart Export Guarantee, an installer must hold MCS certification. Ours is in progress. This page is here so you can register early — we'll contact you the moment we go live. Everything below is general guidance, not an offer of installation yet.

The basics

How solar panels save you money

Solar panels (solar PV) turn daylight into electricity your home can use immediately. When the sun's out, you draw less from the grid, so your bills fall. Anything you generate but don't use can be exported back to the grid — and with the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), your energy supplier pays you for it. Export rates vary widely by supplier (broadly between a few pence and the low-20s pence per kWh as of 2026), and a typical home system can earn somewhere in the region of £120–£240 a year from export alone, on top of the bill savings from using your own power.

Add a home battery, and you can store the electricity you generate during the day to use in the evening, squeezing even more value from every panel. We'll be offering solar and battery together as a complete package.

Why MCS matters — and why we're waiting to do it right

You can technically have panels bolted on by anyone, but without an MCS certified installer you can't access the Smart Export Guarantee, many manufacturer warranties won't stand, and some home insurers take a dim view of it. We'd rather launch properly accredited than cut corners — so we're finishing certification before we offer solar. When we do, it'll be done to the standard your investment deserves.

Spreading the cost

Solar is an investment that pays back over time, and you don't necessarily need to fund it all upfront. When we launch, we'll be able to talk through options to spread the cost with monthly payments — so your savings can start working alongside the repayments rather than waiting until you've saved up. We'll confirm the available options when we contact you.

0% VAT helps too

Solar and battery installations currently benefit from 0% VAT — a genuine saving worth acting on while it lasts. We'll confirm the latest position when we're in touch.

What to think about before you buy

  • Roof direction and shading — south-facing roofs generate most, but east-west setups work well too.
  • Your daytime usage — the more you use while generating, the faster the payback.
  • Battery storage — stores daytime generation for evening use; often worth doing at the same time.
  • 0% VAT — solar and battery currently benefit from 0% VAT, a saving worth acting within while it lasts.
